I love seeing these outtakes from HOME New Zealand magazine - they distill, in a range of single images, the great variety of New Zealand architecture and design. Keep up the good work HOME New Zealand.

Three Years Old

A stylish Notting Hill home by Charles Mellersh Design Studio.

The Charlotte Minty Interior Design blog is 3 years old today. My, time has flown and it has been great pursuing this digital interior design diary over the years. If you've been following my blog over this time, thanks so much for your support and lovely comments. I hope you have found great interior design inspiration and continue to do so.
The above images is from a posting this time last year. I still really like this stylish Notting Hill home by Charles Mellersh Design Studio. So I have expanded this post by adding more images of the same place and its lovely details. Enjoy.

Home and Office of Peter Zumthor

This is the home and office of Swiss architect, Peter Zumthor. His most famous design is the Therme Vals spa in Switzerland, where the baths all appear around the corner or down some steps.
His works are subtle, elegant and loaded with integrity. He usually designs from the inside out, therefore the exteriors are unassuming and sometimes do not grab you (The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2011 is a good example). However, it is in the interiors that the details become prevalent and senses of the occupants are realised.
It was great to come by these images of his home and office as Zumthor tends to fly under the radar and has managed to keep his successful career and office in the Swiss town of Haldenstein.

Last week, I was kindly featured as a 'Designer Spotlight' on Christine Martin's Somebody's Home blog. I have happily asked people to participate in my Inspiration Profile, so it was interesting to have the tables turned on to me. Read it here.

A Client's Selection

La Feline Blanche, Saint Gervais Mont Blanc, France

The White House, Daylesford, Australia

Dwell Studio Cooper wing chair

Millswyn, Melbourne

I really love it when my blog becomes a useful tool - it makes it all the worthwhile for me. I received an email last night from a client who had a scroll through my blog ("a treasure trove" they said) and pulled out several images that they were inspired by (as above). It's easy to see the common elements they like and it was handy to have them with me when I met them today.
It was also cool to be reminded of some the images that I have posted from the past - some many great ones!

Here is a stylish and comfortable Scandinavian apartment that I came across on Facebook today and it was getting a lot of love from all around. It's a great mix of crisp whites, rich rugs, great lights and cool furnishings - another cool Scandi apartment.

FEM Home from The Netherlands

This is FEM Home - a stylish textiles brand from The Netherlands and they want "everyone to experience the authentic warm feeling of being at home". I love their campaign photos, taken by Paul Barbera, in which FEM have embraced four 'lifestyles' to demonstrate their products in use and they have used some cool interiors here. Snuggling up in blankets is especially appropriate for us here down under going through a crispy cold winter. Keep warm everyone.
