A Classy Norwegian Interior Moment

Spotted on Emma's Blog - I like this Norwegian interior with the sideboard and its lovely collection on top. This is beautifully composed and looks classy.
This photograph is from a Norwegian book called Naturligvis (Naturally) by Kirsten Visdal.

Using Trays for Display and Collections

Using a Hermes tray to display a collection of special objects.

A tray of sweet items on a desk.

Using trays for work - to contain objects and samples for each job.
I have always loved using trays to contain vignettes and collections of objects on tables. I have one on my coffee table and a few in my bedroom. It's a great and easy way to 'frame' and pull together a disparate range of objects. LA design company, Burnham Design has some great examples of this display technique in their portfoilo as well as their design office (as seen above). I especially love the croc skin tray with the red, blue and white objects.
