A Stylish London Cafe

I was looking for some visuals of the lovely Hay J77 chair when I came across this London eatery, the Cornerstone Cafe - which had the very chair looking great on their floor.
Designed by London based Paul Crofts Studio, this cafe is located in a former munitions factory and store, which inspired the V shaped military badge chevron motif used throughout. You can read more about it here.

Orla Kiely in Dwell Magazine

Textile designer, Orla Kiely's London homes have appeared on this blog several times, however I enjoy seeing different views of the same house in different publications - as they always capture something new. This time, Kiely's home makes an appearance in the latest Dwell magazine.

Nice TV installation to the left (and I would like the jug painting on the mantlepiece).

Monocle Cafe, London

Do you enjoy reading the stylish Monocle magazine like I do? If so, you'll love the new Monocle Cafe in London. Around the corner from their HQ offices, the new cafe keeps true to Monocle's high quality, international and understated style by using tables and stools from Australia, Japanese crockery and Danish cutlery. To top it off, their coffee is by Allpress New Zealand. Class.

Bodie and Fou in Homestyle New Zealand

Here is a great article about Karine Candice Kong and her London family home as featured in the latest Homestyle New Zealand magazine. I enjoy all the family connections in this article - Karine has a great online interiors store called Bodie and Fou, which she created with her sister, Elodie; and the photographs for this feature was taken by  photographer brother Francois. Karine is also married to a Kiwi and it's great to read about their stylish French meet Kiwi way of living. Enjoy.

A Breather...

Life's a bit mad at the moment - lots of great things going on. So for a little breather, here's a beautiful pool made from lava stone found in a London home.

Olympic Park Gardens

The 'ribbon of gold' meadow by Nigel Dunnett.

The 2012 Olympics are over and there were so many aspects of great design throughout the whole event - from the buildings, the uniforms (and sneakers), the ceremonies, the Olympic torch and the branding. What I'm appreciating is the Olympic Park gardens - they were in full bloom during this epic sporting event and it is these gardens that soften the urban landscapes around the main Olympic locations. The overall effect of the planting is very 'natural', ie plants growing together in spontaneous drifts. However, they have been brought together deliberately to create a low-maintenance, long flowering display. Would it be great if all public spaces were like this? Lovely.

Workplace Design

The office of architecture firm, BUJ.

The creative studio for Venture 3 - a global branding consultancy company.

I have been working on an office design this week and through my research, I came across these work spaces by London design agency, Brinkworth. Both workplaces are very clean, uncluttered and fresh. Nice.

A stylish Notting Hill home by Charles Mellersh Design Studio.

The Charlotte Minty Interior Design blog is 3 years old today. My, time has flown and it has been great pursuing this digital interior design diary over the years. If you've been following my blog over this time, thanks so much for your support and lovely comments. I hope you have found great interior design inspiration and continue to do so.
The above images is from a posting this time last year. I still really like this stylish Notting Hill home by Charles Mellersh Design Studio. So I have expanded this post by adding more images of the same place and its lovely details. Enjoy.
