Monocle Cafe, London

Do you enjoy reading the stylish Monocle magazine like I do? If so, you'll love the new Monocle Cafe in London. Around the corner from their HQ offices, the new cafe keeps true to Monocle's high quality, international and understated style by using tables and stools from Australia, Japanese crockery and Danish cutlery. To top it off, their coffee is by Allpress New Zealand. Class.

Kerryn Dunshea Garden Benches

Bespoke garden bench by Kerryn Dunshea

Khandallah bench

In the weekend I was outside my friend's deli in Kelburn and while chatting with them, they mentioned that they are keen to place a bench in front of their store. So I recommended to them to have a look at the classic and traditional Kerryn Dunshea Garden Benches.
Dunshea, a fellow Wellington interior designer, was inspired by the classic English garden furniture she saw while she lived in the UK. The benches are handcrafted in Wellington using traditional construction methods and there is a paint colour palette to choose from. A perfect piece for the garden (or in front of a deli) this summer.

I Like...

The FildeFer Collection for Skitsch.

I like... this tongue-in-cheek outdoor furniture collection by Italian designer, Alessandra Baldereschi. The slim rods of the chairs re-create, as well as giving a nostalgic nod, to plush furniture - it's like taking your comfy armchair outside.
