Picture Hanging
I brought a picture frame from Country Road last weekend and I came across this promotional video of theirs. It demonstrates how to hang your different frames to create an art cluster. They've done a great job and show how super easy it is. Nice one.

Ilse Crawford Speaks
Ilse Crawford is one of my favourite interior designers - and here are two great videos where she talks about two past projects and what she believes makes great interior design.
Crawford makes a great statement about places being more like a home, on a more domestic and 'human' scale - her examples of the office environment and how the spaces could be better utilised for interaction and working comfort is an excellent reference. I agree that it is the human use of the space that informs the practical side of the design.
She talks again about the human quality in the next video - about how the power of interiors can enhance the senses and create an experience.
See the cool Mathias Dahlgren restaurant and food bar here.

Moby Celebrates L.A. Architecture
I am off on a overseas trip at the end of May and on my way to Europe, I am stopping in Los Angeles for 5 days. It looks like I need to check out the Pacific Standard Time Presents: Modern Architecture in L.A. while I am there. Remember Moby? Not only is he a DJ and musician, he is also an architecture blogger (who would have thought?). Here he riffs about L.A. architecture.
(Psst, I think this guy does it better - check out this video from last year where Ice Cube talks about the Eames).

Surprise Dolphin Visit in Wellington
What a great way to finish off the week and our summer season - it has been a gorgeous sunny day today as it was yesterday when a surprise visit of 100+ dolphins turned up in the Wellington harbour. Love it - this is my amazing city!
The video is by the fabulous Ro Tierney who did a beautiful video when it snowed in Wellington last year. You can see it here.

Londontown by Citta Design
Citta Design had their Winter 2013 media launch last week and it looks great. The new range is called Londontown and it became available to the public this week. Watch the inspiration video to meet the design team, hear about their London-inspired characters (Vintage, Eccentric, English Rose, Sloane and Proper Gent) and how the whole range came about.

The Joy of Books
If you're like me, who loves to read and visiting cool bookstores - then you're going to love this video. My flatmate showed me this the other day and I think it's fantastic. Imagine the time it took to move all the books around and there is some cool colour coding too. Enjoy.

Orange
According to Kate Spade New York, May is the month of Orange. My brother in law will be happy about this - it is his favourite colour. I'm liking it too - enjoy this cute video celebrating this vibrant colour.
Also check out the cool The Weekly Spade : A Blog About Colour where all things life, fashion and colour come together.
